Staying on top of the latest news in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising can help your business succeed. The PPC world moves at lightning speed, and changes to best practices or new ways to analyze data can mean the difference between meeting lead goals or being behind the curve.
Since we spend so much time navigating the world of digital marketing, we’re constantly keeping up to date with PPC news. Staying on top of this news can help you be more engaged and proactive in your digital strategy.
This week, we want to cover a few updates from Google about its Ads network.
Google is expanding its free Shopping ads
Earlier in 2020, Google rolled out free Shopping ads for businesses. Now, Google will be expanding this offer to businesses in Europe, Asia and South America as well. This is part of Google’s effort to support businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Many businesses cannot afford the extra expenditures of Google Shopping ads, so by making them free, Google is hoping to help these struggling businesses attract more clients.

Google Ads Report Editor is getting a facelift
To review Google Ads performance, usually a PPC manager will review the Reports Editor in Google Ads. If you’ve looked at the Reports Editor anytime in the last few weeks, you will have noticed some changes.
The Reports Editor has now condensed dimensions and metrics panels on the right side of the screen, leaving a large box in which you can highlight and compare info from these panels to display as visual graphs.
This helps give marketers more tools they need to help visualize campaign performance in ways that are easiest for you and your clients to track.
