Chase the right audience and let your brand grow with them if you want your social media marketing to be more effective.
  2. You don’t have any goals — If you feel like your social media isn’t working, maybe it’s because you don’t have any goals or aren’t tracking the right data. Create a path you want users to go through on your social media to help you reach your goals.

    For example, if your goal is to grow your brand, then your social media goal might be to increase your awareness with more followers and shares. If your goal is to drive sales, your social media goal might be to drive clicks to your website to landing pages where users can convert into leads.
  3. You’re not advertising — Not everyone on social media is familiar with your brand. The major social media platforms offer paid advertising that marketers can use to help get their brand in front of the eyes of a relevant target audience who may not know your brand. If you’re not investing in paid advertising, you could be missing out on this potential target audience.
  4. Your content is bland — Don’t fall into the trap of just writing posts about your brand like your social media page is some sort of digital billboard. Your content needs to be engaging. Create useful, educational and entertaining posts. Share images, videos and other multimedia.
